8- hour laws class and qualification.

Agenda 1^st class :

1. Develop a personal and home protection plan.
2. Self-defense firearms basics, practice clearing malfunctions
3. Lunch
4. Defensive shooting fundamentals, S.I.R.T gun practice. With L.A.S.R. software.
5. The legal use of force.
6. Violent encounters and their aftermath.
7. Gear and gadgets and how to clean firearms.

Class will begin at 8:30 please arrive 15 minutes early. Do NOT bring firearms to this class. Please bring your FOID along with and open mind and accepting nature.

Agenda 2^nd class

1. Review of last class.
2. Basic and advanced skills.
3. State of Illinois CCL laws.
4. Lunch
5. S.I.R.T gun practice. With L.A.S.R. software, draw from holster.
6. Overview of gun range procedures.
7. 2:00 pm Gun range and shooting qualification (at the Villa Park VFW Post 2801)
8. Quiz
9. Presentation of certificates (depending on outcome of qualification)

Please make sure you BRING your firearm and FOID to this class, along with at least 30 rounds of ammunition (no wad cutters and no hollow point ammo will be allowed). Please make sure all firearms have a chamber flag installed (I will provide them the first day of class). I will provide the B27 targets. If you do not have a firearm I can provide my Springfield Armory XD9 Tactical (9mm) or a Walters PK380 (.380). Make sure you are wearing Loose fitting jean or pants with a belt (holster draw) also for the range closed toe shoes and a shirt with tight collar (shell casing will not go down your shirt), bring a baseball cap, Eye and ear protection …if you do not have them I have extra… please it me know if need them.
